Honor, Part Six: Appreciation

Kara is the wife of a Transportation Coordinator Officer for the United States Army Reserves.  Kara is unique in that she is not only a military wife, but also a veteran. She served in the United States Army for five years. How amazing is that!? She is a mom of two beautiful girls, currently works in Behavioral Heath and is working towards earning her masters in Public Health from the University of Missouri. Honor, Part Five: A Noun, Not a Verb

“Honor. It’s one of those words that can take on so many different meanings in someone’s life. For me, and probably for a lot of people, it has always been a verb. You’re taught to honor your mother and your father, to honor your obligations and commitments. “When asked to write about honor, I honestly had to Google it. I understand what the word means; however, as a military family, I am constantly surrounded by what many call honorable men and women. They serve and protect our country, which is most definitely an honorable thing. But being around it 24/7 we see so much more than just men and women in uniforms.
