Makeup for Noobs

When it comes to makeup, I’m probably the noobiest of noobs. It’s just never been my thing, so my routine was pretty basic and when something wasn’t working, it just got cut. Recently though, I was getting frustrated looking at pics at date night or of me out at an event and thinking…wow, ew I did put on makeup right?! I needed a routine that I could do that was simple, easy, looked good (not overdone and caked on), pretty and natural, and something that stayed on! So…I recruited some help from the experts, Aunt Lisa and my cousin Hanna – they always help keep me in check with this type of stuff and I can always trust their suggestions. Cozy Fall Soups

Fall is my favorite season for so many reasons! It used to be a toss up with spring, but I’ve officially decided that fall takes the cake. In the spring everyone tries to rush the spring dresses and shorts when really it’s too cold still and that’s just uncomfortable for everyone. Friendship

Friendship has always been a tricky thing for me. I’m a kind of private person, an analyzer and critical thinker. Because I’m a thinker, I would find myself in conversations discouraged because I was still thinking on something that was now two topics past and my input no longer mattered (crazy what that’s been a thing with me but… it is). So I’ve had a hard time finding friends I’m comfortable around to truly just be me. To put up with my random thoughts. People that don’t care about my big toe that was cut off in a bicycle accident when I was three. People who don’t care about my not so great style choices sometimes haha or look down upon me because I’m not where they are in life. I’ve craved genuine connection…genuine friendship, knowing that there are people that have my back. Friendships were we can love, appreciate, support, and cheer on each other in whatever stage of life we’re in.
