Hey Everyone! It’s been awhile, huh? I’ve got a new blog in the works for you called “Point by Point”. Coming soon!! I think you’re going to love it.

It has been a crazy winter/spring for us here in Fort Myers. Lots of BIG changes, figuring things out (lots and lots…and lots of figuring things out haha), travel, guests, training and lessons. Whew. We have a big announcement we are making about the wakeboard school on this Friday – so if you’re interested, keep an eye on the Kirby’s School of Wake Instagram, Facebook, and/or website. It will be on all of those outlets.

It’s an exciting time for us! Kirby began coaching in 2008, and feels like this year (ten years later) he is just now entering in to what God has purposed for our lives. We are on the bubble, right on the brink of some really amazing things. Sometimes you just have to get your eyes off the calendar and the clock, because God is working things out. He is more of a big picture Father, ya know?

I’ve also been meditating a lot on ‘purpose’. My sister and I have been discussing it quite a bit as finding your purpose seems to be a theme for a lot of Christian messages. We were also talking about the pressure of being in college and feeling like you need to know your purpose like right NOW because if you don’t you’ll get behind, you’ll graduate late, and everything sort of tumbles out of control, so it’s this big stressful thing.

After discussing and reading more in the word, we feel like God’s purpose for our lives is not a job, a skill, or a role in life. Our purpose is to have intimacy with Him. THEN, out of a place of intimacy…we find our identity, our calling, etc. So that’s the short version of what I’ve been studying lately. Anyway! I really like finding new music. I came across one the other day I instantly fell in love with. It’s kind of my story I guess. This was actually the real reason I hopped on here, is because I wanted to share it with you!
